Influencer Received Harsh Comments On Her TikTok Transformation Video With ‘Fit’ Husband

Recently a woman posted a video on her TikTok account with her husband, to whom she’s been married for fifteen years.

Alicia Mccarvell, a plus-size woman from Canada who’s also a body-positive influencer, posted a cute transformation video with her husband Scott Mccarvell as they got ready to attend a wedding.

However, she received many negative comments on her video, which was viewed over thirty million times. Hundreds of people criticized her for her weight and told her that she was not fit for her husband.

Some people even called out her husband and said maybe the wife is rich, that’s why he is still with her.

“Umm, he wants your money.” Another wrote.

“Sugar mama, otherwise I don’t understand, and here I can’t even get a text back like seriously.” A third user commented.

“Love is definitely blind.” A fourth penned.

Mccarvell has now responded to her haters and posted a new video in which the influencer has addressed society’s trash beauty standards and called out people who believe that nobody can fall in love with a person who’s not up to their standards of weight.

She also shared that a ‘thin’ lady texted her husband a few months ago and asked him out by saying that he should be with someone ‘fit’ like her, not someone the opposite like his wife.

“I’m undervaluing myself, and she is overvaluing herself. We have both been made to believe that our value lies in our body,” she said.

“When it comes to what my husband values, how well her body fits into society’s beauty standards is not on the top of his list. He values my humor, commitment, love, and caring heart.”

“None of these things that he values about me change if my body changes.” She continued. “So when someone slides into his DMs leading with their body first, he’s asking, “But what else?”
Alicia has 5.1 million followers on her TikTok, and after receiving backlash from several users, her supportive followers came to her rescue.

“I see two stunning people in love with each other and themselves and I’m living for it,” a person commented on her recent video.

“I am so sorry for the amount of hate you have to deal with. Truly unbelievable,” said another.

Another person wrote, ‘The people who are mad are projecting their own insecurities.

“I honestly can’t believe how many jealous and spiteful people are in these comments. Having muscles/being fit doesn’t make him a better person than her. In my opinion, he’s the lucky one, she obviously brings so much fun/happiness to their relationship.”

“These comments are not it, you’re gorgeous and deserve to be treated like a queen.” A fellow TikToker commented.
