Gary Hardwick met Almeda in 2015 while attending the burial of her son Robert. At the time, he was 17 and Almeda was 71. After falling in love at first sight, they got married in a $200 ceremony just two weeks later. After the incident, the couple and one of Almeda’s grandson—who was three years older than Gary—moved into her home.

And in spite of the harsh criticism, which included Almeda’s heart attack, the couple is still going strong and admits that their sexual relationship has been fantastic since since they had their first encounter on their wedding night. “I never could have imagined how lovely it was. The physical aspect of our relationship is perfect, and she is my ideal partner, Gary had previously told Fabulous Digital.

Almeda remembered: “I just came out with it and said to him, ‘Look, I’m 71 and you’re 17’ when we first revealed our love story on Loose Women in 2020. Am I past your prime? Age is simply a number, he said, while squeezing my palm. She claimed Gary gave her a surprise gift of red roses and a bracelet on the same day [at night] in honour of her recent birthday.

From that point forward, they began spending every evening together and finally won over their friends and relatives, including Gary’s mother Tammy and his 71-year-old grandma Carolyn. Almeda is still relatively young at heart to Gary; their age doesn’t affect them, and he thinks God answered his prayers the day she entered his life.
